Here are some fun facts about that tasty treat that Americans just can't get enough of.

  • The record for most wings eaten is 444 wings in 26 minutes, set by Patrick “Deep Dish” Bertoletti during the 2015 Wing Bowl. Molly Schuyler came in a close second with 444 wings.

  • The Pacific region currently consumes the least amount of wings, while the South consumes the most amount of wings in the country.

  • The average American eats 90 chicken wings a year. We can certainly aim to be above average, right?

  • Americans consume 1.25 billion chicken wings on Super Bowl Sunday alone, which would circle the Grand Canyon 120 times. Now that's a lot of chickens!

  • Ranch is, no surprise, the most popular dipping sauce for chicken wings, but bleu cheese coming in a close second.

  • Due to the amount of chicken wings consumed on Super Bowl Sunday, the price of chicken wings rises surrounding the Super Bowl.
