Baseball and Beer a winning combination

With baseball season in full swing, it’s time to dust off those cleats and… oh let’s face it, slide into the nearest open bar stool. Shooter’s has a menu and draft selection that is sure to be a grand slam come game day. Whether you’re a fan of the Yankee’s, Cub’s, Twins or Rockies, Shooter’s has a brew that will put you in the game as you, “root, root, root for your home team!”

If you’re lucky enough to catch a game in person, drink like a local. Here is a list of the most popular beers by stadium.

Colorado Rockies, Coors Field- It’s no surprise that one of most popular beers to drink at Coors Field is Coors OG and Coors light. With the brewery just down the road in Golden Colorado, this local classic is perfect for enjoying a sunny afternoon in the shadow of the Rockies. But it’s not all pale ales at Coors field, because of the booming craft breweries that surround the Denver Metropolitan area, there is a large selection of small batch local brews to choose from as well, including one that is right in the park. The Blue Moon Brewery is located at the corner of 22nd and Blake inside Coors Field. Enjoy one fresh from the tap before making your way to your seat! If you need a little seventh inning stretch, check out one of four Beers of the World locations within the park.

Minnesota Twins, Target Field – If you are a Twins fan you are in no short supply of beer options at Target Field and the Twin City area. While there are many local brews to choose from, Summit Brewing Company’s Extra Pale Ale seems to be the fan favorite for Twin’s enthusiasts. Other local faves include brews from Surly Brewing Company and Dangerous Man Brewing.

Chicago Cubs, Wrigley Field – Don’t let a curse get your goat. Wrigley Field is one of the great American Ball parks and when it comes to beer, there’s plenty to go around. Old Style beer is the mark of a true Cubs fan. It may not be the flashiest, but it goes down pretty smooth. Its sister, Pabst Blue Ribbon, is another fan favorite for this classic baseball town. No need to get fancy, they just keep it real in the windy city. If pale ale isn’t your thing, Goose Island IPA is another popular bev of choice for second city ball fans.

But, if you’re like most of us you’ll be enjoying the baseball season from the comfort of an air conditioned bar, why not make it Shooter’s? Shooter’s full service bar has all of your favorites on tap including Budweiser, Coors, New Belgium, Stella, Guinness and PBR to name a few. Grab some wings, nachos or one of our famous burgers, no matter who your rooting for, Shooter’s on game day is a home run every time.
